Road Traffic Offences

Our specialist motoring department is able to offer expert and affordable advice and representation in relation to all types of driving offences including drink driving and speeding.

We also regularly represent clients for more serious offences involving dangerous driving and serious car accidents.

We are committed to advising and defending motorists for whom the loss of a driving license could have devastating consequences.

Road Traffic Law is a complex area of law and the prosecution need to comply with specific procedures to secure a conviction. We will scrutinise the paperwork and give you realistic advice as to the strength of the evidence and whether you have a possible defence.

Even where the case against you is watertight and you will be pleading guilty it is important you are represented at court in order to minimise any fine and maximise the chances of avoiding disqualification.

We can defend your case and arrange representation at Court at competitive rates or for a fixed agreed fee.

How much the case costs will depend on its level of complexity, number of likely hearings, and the seniority of the lawyer that you want for the hearings.

For cases that will proceed over a number of weeks and months, which is often the case if you plead not guilty, we can often offer flexible payment terms.

If you are found not guilty your legal fees will normally be reimbursed by the court.

If the case is a serious one or is unusually complex then public funding (Legal Aid) may be available subject to your means.  We will discuss this with you where appropriate.

If you have received any correspondence from the court or the police you need to contact us immediately. We offer an initial free consultation over the telephone.
